IT Academy

Randolph Community College is a member of several very reputable and globally recognized Information Technology academies. We are devoted to bringing our students the most up-to-date material for what is being primarily used in industry. We take a hands-on approach by providing each student with a virtual environment to perform our labs anytime of day. The partnered academies also provide RCC, and our students, several useful resources from discount vouchers for certification exam testing to a fully licensed firewall appliance virtual machine. Students will become familiar with network components, traffic, performance, utilization, etc. as well as the discovery of a network’s weaknesses and vulnerabilities in target systems. Microsoft IT Academy LogoStudents will be exposed to the latest operating systems available from Microsoft and have hands-on laboratory practicles involving their configurations. Beginning and intermediate classes involving the installation, configuration, and management of a Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewall. Students will receive their own fully licenses virtual firewall to practice the concepts learned at their home. Click here for more information.

Students will learn how to install, configure, and manage a VMware vSphere infrastructure. Courses will have students creating virtual machines, virtual networks, clones, snapshots, and solve troubleshooting issues through analytics and alerts from the system. Click here for more information.
