Pregnancy

Title IX regulations provide pregnant and parenting students with protections similar to those offered to students with temporary medical conditions. These protections include accommodations to ensure pregnant and parenting students can continue their education without discrimination or barriers. Students who anticipate needing pregnancy or parenting accommodations can work with the Title IX Coordinator, Accessibility Services, and their medical provider to create a support plan tailored to their needs. Recommendations for accommodations from a medical perspective may include, but not limited to permission to have a snack/water, frequent bathroom breaks, temporary accessible parking, breaks to stand/walk and no lifting.
