Microsoft IT Academy

Within the Microsoft IT Academy, students can receive training in the newest Windows operating systems including Windows 10 as well as Windows Server. Students taking classes in IT can access and download any version of Microsoft Windows and also several Microsoft production software at no cost.

Classes in Windows Operating Systems cover the material towards the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and include:

 

MS Windows 10 Configuration

This course introduces operating system concepts for single-user systems specializing in Microsoft 10. Topics include hardware management, file and memory management, system configuration/optimization, and utilities. With the MS Windows 10 Configuration curriculum, students should be able to perform operating systems functions at the support level in a single-user environment.

MS Windows Server Administration

This course covers the installation and configuration of a Windows Server operating system. The MS Windows Server Administration curriculum will discuss the installation, configuration, and management of a Windows Server operating system. Emphasis is placed on the basic configuration of core network services, Active Directory, group policies, deployment of print services, and access controls.

Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

This course will provide foundational level knowledge on cloud concepts; core Azure services; and Azure management and governance features and tools.
This course is suitable for IT personnel who are just beginning to work with Azure. This audience wants to learn about our offerings and get hands-on experience with the product. This course primarily uses the Azure portal and command line interface to create resources and does not require scripting skills. Students in this course will gain confidence to take other role-based courses and certifications, such as Azure Administrator. This course combines lecture, demonstrations, and hands-on labs. This course will also help prepare someone for the AZ-900 exam.

Microsoft Azure Administrator

This course teaches IT Professionals how to manage their Azure subscriptions, secure identities, administer the infrastructure, configure virtual networking, connect Azure and on-premises sites, manage network traffic, implement storage solutions, create and scale virtual machines, implement web apps and containers, back up and share data, and monitor your solution.
This course is for Azure Administrators. The Azure Administrator implements, manages, and monitors identity, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment. The Azure Administrator will provision, size, monitor, and adjust resources as appropriate.
