Apprenticeship Randolph opens applications
Community Night set for Feb. 10 to showcase programs and career pathways
Apprenticeship Randolph (AR) has opened applications for high school juniors and seniors interested in earning college credit from Randolph Community College (RCC), industry credentials, and paid, hands-on experience while still in high school. Applications opened Jan. 23 and will remain open through March 10.
To help students, parents, employers, and community members learn more about the program, Apprenticeship Randolph Community Night will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 5-7 p.m. (floating) at the JB and Claire Davis Corporate Training Center in the Continuing Education and Industrial Center at RCC.
Community Night will feature tours of the Machining and Mechatronics lab, as well as a presentation highlighting Apprenticeship Randolph’s Computer Support Specialist programs. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with instructors, apprentices, and partners to gain a better understanding of how Apprenticeship Randolph prepares students for high-demand careers.
“By partnering directly with employers, Apprenticeship Randolph creates a reliable, industry-driven talent pipeline — connecting students to paid, hands-on experience, industry-aligned college credentials, and high-demand career pathways,” RCC President/CEO Dr. Shah Ardalan said. “This is workforce development done right: Education built with business, not just for business. We invite employers to join us in shaping the future workforce, strengthening our regional economy, and demonstrating how at RCC, Access leads to Success — for both talent and industry.”
Apprenticeship Randolph is designed for motivated high school juniors and seniors who want to earn while they learn and get a jumpstart on a career. Students earn college credit, a journeyworker credential, and an Associate of Applied Science degree — tuition-free — while gaining real-world work experience with local employers.
Community Night is open to the public, and no registration is required.
