Randolph Community College has been awarded a $7,000 grant from BrassCraft Manufacturing Company to support student learning in the College’s Computer-Integrated Machining program.

“This partnership with BrassCraft represents the kind of strategic collaboration that drives student success and regional growth,” RCC President/CEO Dr. Shah Ardalan said. “Together, we are not just training skilled technicians — we are shaping the future of advanced manufacturing in North Carolina. We are proud to stand with industry partners who share our commitment to Access, Connection, Experience, and Success.”

The funding will enhance instruction in the College’s Machining Technology II course, helping students gain advanced skills in precision machining, measurement, and safety practices — key competencies in today’s manufacturing industry.

“At BrassCraft, we believe that investing in education is supporting the future of manufacturing,” said Rebecca Conway, Vice President of Human Resources at BrassCraft Manufacturing Company. “This grant reflects our commitment to empowering students with the skills they need to succeed in today’s high-tech production environments. We are proud to support Randolph Community College and help build a strong, local talent pipeline that benefits both our industry and our community.”

This investment will strengthen RCC’s ability to prepare graduates for high-demand technical careers while supporting BrassCraft’s goal of building a stronger regional workforce pipeline for its Thomasville plant.

“We are excited about this new partnership and the opportunity to support Randolph Community College students,” Chief Development Officer Catherine English said. “This grant helps ensure that local talent has access to hands-on training and meaningful career pathways close to home.”
