The Office of Institutional Effectiveness works collaboratively across the College to foster a campus culture for data-informed decision-making that supports student success and guides strategic planning. The office strives to maintain, distribute and clearly present data and key performance indicators based on analysis and research in support of the College's strategic planning, assessment and accreditation process. The college is currently in the process of SACSCOC reaffirmation.
The planning process at RCC is founded on quality concepts, envisioning a series of interrelationships between evaluation of progress towards goals, outcomes assessment, awareness of trends, and strategic positioning. The process requires that decisions and plans be based on evidence. It also requires that through the planning process every employee’s insights and the needs of students and the community be recognized and considered in determining what objectives and strategies for action should be chosen. A clearly defined vision and mission, defined goals and initiatives, and measurable objectives are the foundation for planning at RCC. Institutional Effectiveness planning is the selected course of action the college proposes to take to accomplish its mission and reach its goals. The annual planning process focuses the efforts of all college units on the accomplishment of college-wide strategic initiatives. Unit objectives, developed in each planning unit of the college, serve as the basis for developing action strategies for continuous improvement.
