Looking to become ServSafe certified? Randolph Community College is offering a two-day, evening course, “ServSafe for Managers,” in May.
The ServSafe program was developed by the National Restaurant Association with the help of foodservice industry experts. Years of experience and inside knowledge of the foodservice industry are at the core of the course, exams, and materials. The program blends the latest FDA Food Code, food safety research, and years of food sanitation training experience. Students will learn to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food safety. Upon completion, participants will receive a nationally-recognized certification by the National Restaurant Association, required by the manager on duty to earn a 100% Health Inspection Grade.
The class (#77125) is from 4-9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, May 19 and 20, in room 223 of the Continuing Education & Industrial Center on the Asheboro Campus.
Students must attend all sessions in order to take the exam; no absences are allowed. Registration is $70, plus a required textbook, “ServSafe Manager 7th Edition with Online Exam Voucher.” The book can be purchased from the RCC Campus Store for $86.51. Students should read the book before coming to class.
