ASHEBORO (March 15, 2021)
Grant writing is often intimidating, especially for small nonprofits whose staff members already wear many hats, making it easy to rush through an application or cut corners. Randolph Community College is here to help with “Effective Grant Writing,” which starts next month.
The online class offers a project-based learning (PBL) experience. Participants will be exposed to multiple topics that are essential to effective grant writing, such as the power of collaboration, communicating with program officers and influencing others for a successful grant submission, types of non-profit organizations and funders, grant calendaring, how to decode a Request for Proposal (RFP), and much more.
The course (#76295) is Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 6-May 20, from 6-7:30 p.m. on Zoom. The cost is $70. There is a required textbook, “The Only Grant Writing Book You’ll Ever Need, 5th Edition” by Ellen Karsh and Arlen Sue Fox (ISBN-10: 1541617819).
