Ten Randolph Community College students recently received $500 scholarships thanks to the State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) Foundation’s Bridge to Career Program.

The students receiving scholarships were James Caruso, Jean-Luc Lindsey, April Newsom, Julie Plourde, and Zachary Webb in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic, and Brandon Burger, Dalton Flowers, Stephen Johnson, John Lutz, and Jose Valencia in Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET).

RCC received $15,000 for 30 $500 scholarships to help eligible students enrolling in BLET, EMT Basic, and Therapeutic Massage. In all, the College awarded 17 for BLET, 11 for EMT Basic, and two for Therapeutic Massage.

The SECU Foundation established the SECU Bridge to Career Program in 2018 to help remove financial barriers for students seeking to obtain state-regulated or industry-recognized credentials through the Workforce Continuing Education Division of their local community college that lead to sustainable wage careers within their local communities.
