RCC offering new course for first-time managers, couponing returns

ASHEBORO (Feb. 27, 2019)

Randolph Community College is offering a new course for first-time managers in March, along with its popular couponing workshops.

The “First-Time Manager” program was developed specifically for new leaders to acquire the mindset and skill set to achieve success quickly and become a great manager. Using materials from author, speaker, and business consultant Ken Blanchard, the course teaches four core conversations needed to build positive relationships, as well as the managerial skills needed to orient first-time managers to their new challenge.

The class (#69417) is Friday, March 8, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at RCC’s Archdale Center at 110 Park Drive. The cost is $100, plus $184 for books.

Attendees can learn how to better-manage their budget at RCC’s couponing workshops at the Randleman Center. Most participants easily save the cost of the workshop and more during their first grocery shopping trip using these techniques.

In the “Extreme Couponing I” workshop, students will learn to save an average of 50-75 percent by using coupons and drastically cutting their food budgets by bargain shopping. Attendees learn how to find, organize, and use coupons. The class is designed to make using coupons easy and fun, and includes a course handout, freebies, and door prizes. The workshop will change the way participants shop and teach them to save more money than they ever imagined.

There are three dates to take the class: Monday, March 4, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. (#69419); Saturday, March 9, from 9-11 a.m. (#69420), and Monday, March 25, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. (#69421). The cost of the course is $16.

“Advanced Extreme Couponing” will help students take their couponing to the next level. Participants will learn how to get most of their family’s toiletries and household items for free or even make money doing it. The two-hour class will cover everything students need to know to play what couponers call “The Drugstore Game” — the strategy to get tons of what their families need and learn how to shop specific area stores. The workshop includes course handouts, freebies, and door prizes.

There are three dates to take the class: Tuesday, March 5, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. (#69422); Monday, March 11, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. (#69423), and Tuesday, March 26, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. (#69424). The cost of this course is $20.
