IATF 16949 Standard Workshop

IATF 16949:2016 is the new Quality Management System (QMS) standard for organizations in the automotive industry. This new standard will supersede and replace the current ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard. All organizations currently certified to ISO/TS16949:2009 will need to successfully transition by Sept. 14, 2018.

This overview provides participants with a basic understanding of the meaning and scope of the new IATF 16949 of Quality Standards and acquaints them with guidelines to help them assess the appropriateness and value of certification and registration in their own organization. Ten standards in the new IATF 16949 series will be discussed along with current procedures for registration, who is registered in the United States, and the probable costs and expectations of third party auditing services. This course also examines the actions to address risks and opportunities.
