Steps to Enrolling for Credit (Curriculum) Classes at Randolph Community College

1. Complete an RCC application and speak with a student counselor (Note: You are leaving the RCC website)

2. Request a transcript for official copies of your high school transcript and/or GED test scores, and all college transcripts.*

3. Placement assessment required before enrollment.

4. Complete financial aid paperwork. Click here for Veterans Affairs.

5. Familiarize yourself with RCC Campus Cruiser

    - Get your grades
    - Check your RCC e-mail (or forward it to a personal e-mail address)
    - Communicate with your instructor
    - RCC Forms
    - Campus Calendar

6. Orientation, advising and registration. You will receive communication from the school by e-mail regarding dates, times and locations.

*In order for an applicant to register for classes, the applicant’s official transcript(s) must have been received and evaluated by College officials. GED graduates must submit official copies of their GED test scores. Students transferring from other colleges or post-high school institutions seeking admission into a specific program must submit official transcripts from all such institutions attended. For transcript release forms, call Student Services, 336-633-0223. Transcripts are not official unless they are sent directly from the high school or college attended.

Students are encouraged to complete the above steps quickly to prevent delays in the enrollment process.

 

General Admissions Requirements for Curriculum Programs

Applicants for admission to Randolph Community College must be 18 years of age or high school graduates. The College will accept students with a high school equivalency diploma. A high school diploma or the equivalent is required for some curriculum programs (see Additional Admissions Policies & Procedures below).

Randolph Community College will admit high school students between the ages of 16 and 18 to appropriate courses at the College. Guidelines established by RCC and area schools will be observed (see Career & College Promise).

Persons intending to enroll in a specific curriculum are encouraged to submit their applications at least two months prior to the term in which they wish to enroll. Applicants are not admitted into specific curriculum programs, and thus, not eligible for financial aid until admission requirements are met (i.e. transcripts, assessment, etc.). Applications are available online. The Welcome Center is open from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., on Friday. Additional Admissions Policies &Procedures

There are additional admissions requirements for applicants to Associate Degree Nursing, Basic Law Enforcement Training, Cosmetology, Medical Assisting, Nursing Assistant, Radiography and Physical Therapy Assistant. For more information, contact Student Services at 336-633-0205.

Please Note: Application, high school and college transcripts, financial statement and TOEFL score of 550 or above are required before an international student will be considered for admission.
