Fall 2010 Advising/Registration Schedule
Advising for New Students is July 26 - 30 and August 2-6 in Building 300 (behind the Campus Store)
1. Contact/Meet with your academic advisor
Each semester you will contact and/or meet with your academic advisor
Academic advisors are instructors who help students select courses based on their program of study (major) at RCC. Students will set up an appointment to meet with their advisors who will then assist in class registration. You should discuss program requirements with your advisor each semester to make sure you are on track for graduation.
2. Register for curriculum classes
Your advisor will register you for the necessary classes during your advising appointment and you will be given a printout of your schedule. You can also view your schedule online through your Campus Cruiser account.
What is Campus Cruiser?
Campus Cruiser is an online service provided to all RCC students upon completion of the application process. It includes:
- Your RCC e-mail account (Example: jdoe@cruiser.randolph.edu)
- Access to courses, class schedules & semester grades
- Online registration for classes
- Online payment
- Buy books
- Financial aid information
- Access your transcript
- Calendars, message board & class chat rooms
- Campus announcements & alert messages
It is very important to check your e-mail on a regular basis. RCC will communicate with you through Campus Cruiser along with your advisor, Financial Aid and Student Services.
3. Pay your tuition and fees
Your classes will be DELETED and you will be required to register again if you do not pay tuition and fees by the appropriate due date!
After registering for classes you may pay using one of the following methods:
- Cash
- Check
- Credit Card
- e-Cashier/FACTS Management (automatic payment plan)
- Financial Aid
You are not registered for classes until tuition and fees are paid!
If you are paying tuition and fees by cash, check, or credit card stop by the Business Office located in the Administration/Education Center Room 101
If you are paying tuition and fees by e-Cashier/FACTS Tuition Management (automatic payment plan) you can enroll online at www.randolph.edu/admissions.eCashier.php. Please have your name, address & e-mail available along with your account information (checking or savings) for the person responsible for the payment.
Why FACTS Tuition Management?
- No interest or finance charges
- No credit check
- $25 enrollment fee/semester
- Minimum amount of $300
Please note: e-Cashier/FACTS Tuition Management is a for-profit payment plan. It is not available during all registration dates!
If you are paying tuition and fees by Financial Aid and have not received a 2010-2011 Financial Aid Award Letter or other form of eligibility notification call 336-633-0205 or visit the Financial Aid Office, in the Student Services Center. You can also view your account through Campus Cruiser.
If your financial aid will not cover all charges, please pay remaining charges by calling the Business Office at 336-633-0292 or visiting the Business Office in Administrative Education Building room 101.
Please inform the Financial Aid Office of attendance at another institution throughout the year. You cannot receive financial aid at more than one school in the same term.
Tuition & fees are due by 3:00 p.m. on August 6.
4. Buy Books & Supplies
Once you are registered, you can purchase books at the Campus Store, which is located behind the Student Services Center.
Books can also be ordered online at: www.rcc-campus-store.bkstr.com
YOU WILL NEED YOUR SCHEDULE TO PURCHASE THE CORRECT BOOKS!
Campus Store Hours: Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. & Friday 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
5. Student ID and Parking Sticker
Randolph Community College issues student ID cards to all new students. The cards can be used as your library card and access to student activities. ID cards are issued in the Library located in the Learning Resources Center (LRC) during registration and throughout the semester. A $5 replacement fee is charged for all lost cards.
Students are provided with a FREE parking sticker. Stickers are issued during registration days and at Student Information desk located in the Student Services Center and throughout the semester. Park only in Student Parking. Obey ALL traffic rules and speed limits. Drive carefully! There are many students, staff, faculty, etc. walking on campus. Your safety is VERY important to us.
