Nursing Assistant FAQ's

How long is the class?
The class can be a full semester long (16 weeks) or a mini-mester (8 weeks).

Can I get financial aid for this class?
No. Financial aid is not awarded for certificate programs.

Do I have to take NAS 101, 102, and 103 for Associate Degree Nursing?
No. For Associate Degree Nursing, only NAS 101 is required.

How much does the class cost?
The class alone is going to cost anywhere from $475-$500.  Books will cost between $10-$15.  Shoes, scrubs, blood pressure cuff, stethascope, and any other needed ites will vary in cost depending on where they are purchased.

Is the program offered in the fall and spring?
Yes. We have classes starting each semester.

What do I need to do to start the process of getting into the Nursing Assistant program?
You need to complete an application to the college for Nursing Assistant and turn in transcripts from High School/GED and any other college you have been to and take the placement test if necessary. Here is a link to the Admission Requirements.

Do I have to have all of the medical paperwork required turned in before the program starts?
