ServSafe Course Offers Path to
Food Handling Certification
ASHEBORO, N.C.--Everyone who works in the restaurant or food service
business knows how important it is to learn to handle foods in a safe
and sanitary manner. Randolph Community College will offer a “ServSafe”
course at both the Asheboro and Archdale Campuses this fall. Upon completion,
participants will receive a nationally recognized certification by the
National Restaurant Association.
The class will be offered from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Saturdays, Sept. 6 - 20,
on the Asheboro Campus. The Archdale Campus class will be from 9 a.m.
- 4 p.m., Saturdays, Oct. 11 - 25. Cost is $132, which includes a textbook
and the certification test. Students must attend all sessions in order
to take the exam; no absences are allowed.
Additional sections may be arranged for individual businesses.
