RCC Offers OSHA Compliance Workshop,
Record Keeping Classes in September

 

ASHEBORO, N.C.—Help your company avoid expensive fines by attending Randolph Community College’s “OSHA Compliance Workshop” scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 16, on the Asheboro Campus. There is no charge for the one-session workshop (#0303599) taught by Teresa Durham, which will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Topics include OSHA history and terminology; stages of an OSHA inspection; components of safety plans, policies, and programs; hazardous communications plans; lockout/tagout, first aid, bloodborne pathogens, hearing conservation, fire extinguisher, confined space, and good faith policies; personal protective equipment; safety self-inspection log; OSHA poster; frequently cited standards; employer and employee roles and responsibilities; penalty schedule for violations; 300 log; required compliance training; materials available from OSHA; and how to contact OSHA.

Learn more about specific OSHA record keeping requirements in the “OSHA Record Keeping” class planned at RCC’s Asheboro Campus on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The class (#0303600) will be taught by Teresa Durham. Registration is $50. Topics include location of records, retention and maintenance of records, recordable and not recordable incidents, access to OSHA records, correct and incorrect forms, emergency action plans, and more. Each segment of the class includes case studies and specific examples related to OSHA incidents and situations for clarification of requirements.
