RCC Offers Free Basic Computer Courses
To Unemployed
ASHEBORO, N.C.--Randolph Community College will offer basic computer
classes that are free to the unemployed at several locations throughout
the county during the spring semester. The classes are designed to help
those who want to enter or reenter the workforce. They are free to those
who are unemployed, have been notified of impending layoff, or meet eligibility
requirements. For others, the cost is $55 plus a $2 supply fee.
The classes include "Computer Skills for the Complete Beginner,"
"Software for Career Development," and "Internet &
E-Mail for the World of Work." The classes will be offered at the
Asheboro Public Library beginning Jan. 12, at the Early Childhood Development
Center (Old Balfour School) beginning Jan. 13, at the Randolph County
Day Reporting Center beginning Jan. 26, at Wesley Chapel AME Zion Church
beginning Jan. 27, and at the Liberty and Randleman Public Libraries beginning
March 22.
