Building Trades Classes Offered
at RCC’s Archdale Campus in September

 

ARCHDALE, N.C.—Randolph Community College’s Archdale Campus will be offering two Building Trades classes beginning in September.

“General Contractor's License Preparation” is offered on Mondays, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m., from Sept. 8 through Dec. 15. The course covers building technology, terminology, blueprint reading, estimating, building codes and related topics. It is designed to aid the student in preparing for the state contractor’s licensing exam for residential and light commercial construction. The cost of the course is $60 plus materials.

“Brick Masonry and Stonemasonry, Beginning” is offered on Tuesdays, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m., from Sept. 9 through Nov. 18. This course covers different types of mortar, how mortar is mixed, what tools are needed, specifications for brick, and sizes of brick. Students will build small brick or stone projects. The cost of the course is $55.
