RCCF’s 4th Annual Photo Auction & Gala set for Tuesday, June 12

            ASHEBORO (May 31, 2007)

An incredible sunrise, a unique perspective on zoo animals, a peek at a ranch in Argentina, an interesting view of Asheboro’s First Baptist Church, and a serene American cemetery in Normandy—these are just a few of the spectacular photos that will be available for purchase at the Randolph Community College Foundation’s 4th Annual Photo Auction & Gala Reception on Tuesday, June 12, at Pinewood Country Club.

The live auction will feature the nine winning photographs from the Foundation’s 2007 photography competition that have been custom framed, plus the addition of several other items including an autographed hat from the Richard Petty Museum, pottery from Ben Owen III, jewelry from Debbie Pike, pottery from Sid Luck, a framed photograph from Jerry L. Wolford, and more. A silent auction featuring the photo contest’s honorable mention winners will be held during the evening.

The evening begins with food and entertainment at 6 p.m. The auction begins at 6:45 p.m. with the winning silent auction bids announced just before the evening wraps up at 8:30 p.m. Harpist Clarke Carriker will provide the entertainment.

“The Foundation’s Photo Gala is a great community event. It’s a fun night out and an excellent opportunity for folks to take home a beautiful piece of art while helping to provide education and training to Randolph County’s workforce,” said Joyce Wolford, executive director of the RCC Foundation. All proceeds from the event benefit Randolph Community College and its students through the RCC Foundation.

Tickets for the Gala cost $40 and may be ordered by sending a check payable to RCC Foundation to Joyce Wolford, RCC Foundation, P. O. Box 1009, Asheboro, NC 27204-1009, or by contacting Joyce at (336) 633-0295 or jbwolford@randolph.edu.
