Spots Available in Travel & Tour Series Trip to Barter Theatre on May 16

            ARCHDALE (April 20, 2007)

Space is still available for a planned trip to the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Va., on Wednesday, May 16, departing from Randolph Community College’s Archdale Center. The trip is one of several being planned as part of a Travel & Tour Series offered in conjunction with Davidson County Community College. Participants must register and pay at least 10 days before each trip to reserve a space.

The May 16 tour bus will include tickets to see a new musical comedy, "Married Alive," at historic Barter Theatre. The bus will leave at 8 a.m. from the Archdale Center and return around 7:30 p.m. The cost is $75, which includes transportation, lunch, admission to the theatre and gratuities. If the group wishes to stop on the way back for dinner, the cost of that meal will be the participant’s responsibility.

Additional tours for June and fall semester are being planned to sites such as Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre, Wytheville, Va., Biltmore House in Asheville, N.C., and other places of interest. For more information, to register for the Barter Theatre trip, or to make a suggestion for a tour, contact Bill Adams on Tuesdays or Thursdays at (336) 862-7991 or call the Archdale Center, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. or Fridays, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at (336) 862-7980.
