Ten
area residents have been chosen to compete in the RCC Idol competition
on Saturday, March 24, at 6 p.m., in the Learning Resources Center auditorium
on the Asheboro Campus. Randolph Community College’s Armadillo Trackers
Relay forLife team is staging the vocal talent contest to benefit Relay
for Life.
Contestants
who qualified for Saturday night’s event are Hilari Liner, Charles Skeen,
Brittnee Loflin, Rebecca Davis, Maria Torres, Lori Cecil, Samantha Joe Baltes,
Lisa Frye, Donna Presnell, and Caley Cassell. The judges for the event are
RCC College Transfer faculty members Todd Thompson and Grey Sanders and RCC
student and part-time employee Will Smith. Don Ashley, Automotive Systems Technology
instructor, will emcee the contest.
Tickets to RCC Idol are available for $5 in advance, $7 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at Randolph Community College’s Information Center in the Students Services Center or from the Computer Services department in the Computer Technology Center.
