Wanda Brown Appointed to Chair Local State Employees’ Credit Union Lynn Jones, Vice President/City Executive of the State Employees’ Credit Union, announced that Wanda Brown, RCC’s Executive Assistant to the President and Board of Trustees, was appointed to chair the local State Employees’ Credit Union Advisory Board. Jones comments, “Since Wanda has served on the advisory board for a total of 6 years, she has a great deal of experience that will be invaluable in her position as chair.” Wanda will be serving her second four-year term on the board. Wanda will establish a positive impact to the local community and help in building relationships and understanding with other communities. Her responsibilities include: speaking as the official spokesperson for the board, formulating the agendas for each meeting, recommending scholarships for the foundation, assisting with future projects, and signing all documentation released to the associated press. Wanda, on behalf of the local credit union, recently presented two $5,000.00 scholarships to RCC students from the State Employees’ Credit Union. The award is a new scholarship to the community college campus. The first recipients were Maegan Russell, RCC Advertising and Graphics student, from Cameron, NC and Nancy Adkins, RCC Criminal Justice student from Seagrove, NC. The students each received one-half of the total scholarship because they will be graduating this year. The awards will be presented on an annual basis
