Randolph Community College: A History
How Armadillo Drive Got Its Name
Armadillo Drive was named when roads had to be named because of the use of 9-1-1. Randall Brim, planning director for the county, and Hal Johnson came up with this in order to "do something" for the College. Randall was a part-time instructor at the College at that time.
The RCC Seal
|
The Latin phrase on the RCC seal means "He who earns the honor will bear it." |
| The literal translation is "He who earns the palm will bear it." The decision was made to use a broader translation, because it suited the application of the phrase better. |
