Summer is a great time to think about professional development and personal enrichment. And with online courses, it doesn't matter if you live in Archdale or Asheboro, or are spending your summer at the beach or in the mountains. Randolph Community College's Corporate and Continuing Education Division is offering 90 online classes this summer through its collaboration with online course provider Ed2Go to help you with your continuing education goals.
These instructor-led courses are offered in a convenient six-week format with new sessions starting monthly. The next round of courses will begin May 18 and run through July 18. The interactive learning environment includes online lessons, assignments, interaction with your instructor and other students through chat rooms, and a completion certificate with a passing score at the end of the course.
Over 25 computer courses include topics such as Designing Effective Websites, Dreamweaver CS5, Java Programming, and Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word. Twenty teacher renewal classes offered range from courses such as Creative Classroom to Teaching Students with Autism. Other courses focus on business and industry topics, health occupations, languages, photography, and small business.
In addition, students can earn noncredit certificates in five areas through RCC's online program: Accounting, Administrative Assistant, Project Management, Medical Receptionist, and Veterinary Assistant. The program requirements range from 5-8 courses per certificate. It's a great way to obtain valuable job skills in a short time.
Additional classes will begin on June 15 and July 20. Registration for each course is $65 unless otherwise noted. For more information or to register for a course, call 336-862-7980 or go to http://www.ed2go.com/rcc2go/.
