RCC Archdale Center Raises Over $1,000 with Art Show, Bake Sale
ASHEBORO (December 17, 2010)
TOP: The Wheatmore High School Concert Choir performed at the Christmas at Creekside event at Randolph Community College’s Archdale Center on Dec. 3.
BOTTOM: Randolph Community College’s Archdale Center held its annual Youth Art Show in conjunction with Christmas at Creekside. Awards were given to the winners, pictured above, at the Dec. 3 event. Ribbons were awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in three divisions.
Randolph Community College's Archdale Center raised over $1,000 during its annual Youth Art Show and Christmas at Creekside event for Relay for Life to fund cancer research.
The art show featured works from Hopewell Elementary School, John Lawrence Elementary School, Archdale-Trinity Middle School, Uwharrie Middle School, Trindale Children's Center, Mothers Morning Out, Wee Friends, My Circle of Friends, Hopewell United Methodist Preschool, Alpha Academy, Colonial Child Care, First Church of God Day School, and Childcare Network.
The penny-a-vote competition raised over $960 and a bake sale brought in an additional $62.
The Wheatmore High School Concert Choir performed for the Dec. 3 Christmas at Creekside event, and ribbons were awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in three divisions: Preschool, Elementary, and Middle School.
In addition, the Archdale faculty, staff, and students collected three large boxes full of toys for Randolph County foster children.
