RCC Offering Real Estate Broker Class in Asheboro and Archdale

ASHEBORO (May 21, 2009)

Having you been thinking about selling real estate as a second job or something to do in your retirement? Now is the time to get your training before the housing market rebounds. The North Carolina Real Estate Commission requires persons applying for initial licensure to successfully complete a 75-hour Provisional Broker License course and pass the state license exam.

Randolph Community College is offering a Provisional Broker License course in both Asheboro and Archdale beginning June 1. The classes will meet from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Asheboro Campus (via videoconferencing) and at the Archdale Center. The registration fee is $66; a textbook is required at a cost of $40. Classes will meet through July 16.

Each newly licensed broker will be classified as "provisional broker." The provisional broker must, within three years of initial licensure, complete an additional 90 hour postlicensing education program (to be taken as three separate 30-hour courses) in order to retain his or her broker license. Randolph Community College also offers postlicensing courses.

Students can register by calling 336-633-0268 in Asheboro or 336-862-7980 in Archdale.
