Randolph Community College's Associate Degree Nursing Class of 2009 held a Pinning Ceremony on Saturday, May 9, at Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church. Twenty-two graduates were presented with nursing pins during the emotional ceremony that included a "Blessing of the Hands" by Dr. Ron L. Hamilton, a solo by vocalist Adrienne Hardister, and the traditional "Lighting of Lamps" ceremony.
In addition, special awards were presented to the following: Courtney Hayes, Innovation in Nursing Practice Award; Heather Thomas, Clinical Excellence Award; Frankie Ingold, Student Nurse Association Award; Robert Todd, Team Player Award; Shelby Taillon, Spirit of Caring Award; and Sarah Golden, Academic Excellence Award.
The ADN Graduating Class of 2009 and their hometowns are as follows:
