Are you nervous about taking a firearms course with a classroom full of men who know (or think they know) more than you? Randolph Community College is offering a 12-hour Concealed Carry Course for Women Only on April 23 and 25.
This class is designed for students who have limited or no experience in handling handguns and meets the educational requirement for students to obtain their North Carolina concealed carry handgun permit. It includes handgun safety, use of lethal force, and proficiency testing, and participants will get additional time on the weapons range firing their weapons.
The class will meet from 6-10 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, and from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, April 25. Students will need to bring a handgun, 120 rounds of ammunition, and a holster worn on your waist and secured by a belt.
The registration fee is $47. Call 336-633-4165 to register for the class, which will be held at Randolph Community College's Emergency Services Training Center, 895 Training Center Drive, just outside of Asheboro.
