Randolph Community College's Cultural Arts Committee has scheduled a free back-to-school concert for Thursday, Aug. 28, with local band Bantum Rooster. The concert, which will be held in the R. Alton Cox Learning Resources Center auditorium on the Asheboro Campus, is open to the public. Doors will open at 6 p.m.; the concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
Bantum Rooster consists of Asheboro natives Doyle on guitar, Shane on keyboard, Steven on bass, and Christian on drums. They play a mixture of rock, blues and classic rock.
The fall concert is one of several cultural arts events scheduled for the 2008-2009 school year at Randolph Community College.
The Asheboro Campus is located at 629 Industrial Park Avenue. Take the McDowell Road exit off of Highway 220 Bypass and follow the signs.
