Thirty-Two Complete Certificate Program at RCC

ASHEBORO (July 29, 2008)

Thirty-two students recently completed the class hours required for the Medical Office Assistant or Administrative Assistant certificate programs offered by Randolph Community College's Continuing Education division. The students were recognized in a graduation ceremony held in the R. Alton Cox Learning Center auditorium on July 19.

Lewis Edwards, dean of extension programs at RCC, noted that the Medical Office Assistant program began about 10 years ago at RCC with one class. The program now offers certifications in medical administrative assistant, medical transcription, and medical coding and billing. "We're one of the few schools that has an entire program both online and in the classroom," said Edwards.
