Greensboro College will hold an information session at Randolph Community College on Wednesday, June 11, for students interested in attending classes on the RCC campus to earn their bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice. The information session will be from 5:30 - 7 p.m. in the Foundation Conference Center on the Asheboro Campus. Representatives from Greensboro College will be present to provide information and answer questions.
This program is open to anyone but should be of particular interest to students and graduates of RCC's associate in arts program in Criminal Justice Technology.
Greensboro College hopes to offer two courses at RCC this fall, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday and Thursdays evenings, according to Christine Myers, dean of curriculum programs for Randolph Community College.
Interested students are encouraged to attend the information session on June 11 to pick up an application packet. You may also request an application and more information from the Greensboro College School of Professional & Graduate Studies, 336-272-7102, ext. 284.
This program is part of an effort by RCC President Bob Shackleford to establish a University Center on RCC's campus that will allow various four-year schools to offer bachelor's degree programs to Randolph County residents. A similar program in elementary education was established at Randolph Community College by Pfeiffer University in January 2008.
