Introduction to Lean Manufacturing Class Scheduled
at RCC Archdale & Asheboro

ASHEBORO (February 15, 2008)

Experience the power of lean production to reduce waste and remove non-value-added activities from your business. In the "Introduction to Lean Manufacturing with Factory Simulation" class at Randolph Community College, students will work together to assemble a lego product in fixed time period shifts. In roles of supervisor, production scheduler, material handler, and assembly operator, student teams will record orders shipped, work-in-progress, cycle times, and profits or losses while noting the general working conditions.

The Archdale Center class (FIT3001F87067) will meet from 8 a.m.-12 noon, Tuesday, February 26. A second class is scheduled for the Asheboro Campus (FIT3001F87068) on Tuesday, April 1, from 8 a.m.–12 noon. Registration cost is $50.
