Company management personnel who want to learn more about ISO 9000/2000 certification and registration requirements and how to get started in the registration process, should register for Randolph Community College’s “ISO 9000/2000 Quality Standards Overview” class on Wednesday, Jan. 16, on the Asheboro Campus. This overview provides participants with a basic understanding of the meaning and scope of the ISO 9000/2000 series of Quality Standards and acquaints them with guidelines to help them assess the appropriateness and value of certification and registration in their own organization.
The five standards in the 9000 series will be discussed along with current procedures for registration, who is registering in the United States, and the probable costs and expectations of third party auditing services. The course also examines the history of the standards, their acceptance, upcoming revisions, and will make comparisons with the Baldrige criteria and military standards.
The one-day class will meet from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday Jan. 16. Instructor will be Arnie Jeremics. There is a $55 registration fee.
