RCC's Web Site Undergoes Redesign, Has New Features

ASHEBORO (September 27, 2007)

Randolph Community College has launched a redesigned Web site, www.randolph.edu, with a new look, feel, and features.

The new site incorporates older content transferred and updated from the previous site, but there's exciting new content that will be of interest to both prospective students and those already enrolled at the College. Graduates' pictures and stories of success are featured on the new site and a section for parents of RCC students and future students is included as well.

The site incorporates a content management system, which allows for easier site updates. Randolph Community College hopes to add many more features to the new Web site in the coming year, including but not limited to more photographs, online forms, and audio and video content.

The site redesign was a major project that took place over a period of seven to eight months and featured collaboration between RCC's Marketing staff and Manor House Graphics, a design firm based in Asheboro. Richard Schoenberger, who owns Manor House Graphics, is a graduate of RCC's Advertising and Graphic Design program. Mike Southard of Triad Hosting in Summerfield provided technical support.

"Functionality and ease of use were major priorities in the site’s redesign," said Cathy Hefferin, RCC's director of communications and marketing.

With the redesigned site and new content for students, parents, and faculty, Randolph Community College hopes to make more people aware of the educational opportunities that await them at their local community college.
