OSHA Compliance Workshop To Be Offered At RCC Oct. 4

ASHEBORO (September 27, 2007)

Randolph Community College will be offering an abbreviated OSHA Compliance Workshop at its Asheboro Campus location on Thursday, Oct. 4. The workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This course is a shortened version of the 10-hour OSHA Compliance course and will be of interest to employees, supervisors, managers, and others who are interested in and need to apply basic safety procedures and OSHA regulations as they relate to workplace safety. The workshop will cover such topics as OSHA’s history and terminology, stages of an inspection, components of safety plans, policies, and programs, hazardous communications plans, first aid, blood-borne pathogens, safe-guarding workers’ hearing, and penalty schedules for violations. The workshop will help its participants to become more aware of safety compliance issues, thereby avoiding expensive fines and providing a safe and secure workplace for workers.
