RCC Project Management Fundamentals Class Begins June 19
ASHEBORO (June 7,2007)
If your job includes responsibilities for managing projects of any type, Randolph Community College is offering a course designed to enable you to be more successful and efficient in managing project activities.
Project Management Fundamentals focuses on how to organize and manage projects through successful time proven techniques. The five basic phases of a project will be covered including the following:
- project initiation processes,
- project planning,
- project execution,
- controlling the project and
- closing out the project creatively.
All participants will learn techniques that will show how to write clear project mission statements, identify project stakeholders, define project objectives clearly, select an effective project team, develop a realistic project plan, execute and adapt the plan, properly monitor and track progress, and close out and assess the project teams performance. Participants’ learning will be enhanced by applying these techniques to a realistic project simulation.
The class (FIT3001AU 77420) will meet from 8 a.m.-12 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday, June 19 and 21 on the Asheboro Campus. Cost is $50 and the instructor will be Bob Jones of Solomon EOS.
