Foundation Scholarship Luncheon Tickets Available
ASHEBORO (March 19, 2007)Tickets are still available to the Randolph Community College Foundation’s Community Scholarship Luncheon on Tuesday, March 27. Participants have the opportunity to give the gift of education to others in our community by participating in the Foundation’s effort to raise $20,000 in scholarship funds.
Dr. Robert S. Shackleford, RCC’s new president, will provide
the keynote address. In addition, Keisha Callicutt, an Associate Degree
Nursing student and Foundation scholarship recipient, will talk about
her experiences at RCC and how the scholarship has helped her.
Funds raised will be awarded to students during the 2007-2008 school
year. Foundation Executive Director Joyce Wolford says, “When
we reach our goal, we will be able to significantly increase the amount
of scholarship dollars we award to students with financial need for
the upcoming school year.”
The luncheon is sponsored by Advisors Financial Center, Sandra J. Allen/Ship
to Shore Cruises, BB&T, Crumley & Associates, Embarq, First
National Bank, Vickie Gallimore/RE/MAX Central Realty, Klaussner Furniture
Industries, Sealy, The Timken Company, and Village Printing.
The luncheon will be held in the Photography Imaging Center on RCC’s
Asheboro Campus. It begins at 12 noon and will last until approximately
1:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased in advance by calling
