RCC Photography Students and Faculty Win Awards
SHEBORO (March 9, 2007)
Three RCC
Photographic Technology students
and one faculty member brought home awards from the Professional Photographers
of North Carolina annual print competition and convention held March 3-7
in Raleigh, N.C. This year there were approximately 600 images entered.
Students
Matt Carlson, Brittany Wright and Janice Clewis were awarded Gold Corners,
Merits, Courts of Honor, and First Place for their images. Clewis also had
an image selected for the N.C. Professional Photographers 2007 Loan Collection.
Ashley Fetner,
RCC instructor and fine art photographer, was awarded Gold Corners, Merits,
Courts of Honor, First Place, and Second Place, and also two of his images
were selected for the N.C. Professional Photographers 2007 Loan Collection.
One of his Loan Collection images was photographed at the N.C. Zoo in Asheboro.
The 2007
Loan Collection is 25 images the judges select to represent the high quality
of work by the Professional Photographers of North Carolina. To enjoy these

Randolph Community College’s Photographic Technology, Art and Design department brings the College’s renowned Advertising & Graphic Design, Interior Design, and Photographic Technology programs under one academic umbrella. In addition to their specialized training, students in each of the programs are introduced to concepts from the other disciplines. Photographic Technology students have a choice of four concentrations: Biocommunications Photography, Commercial Photography, Photojournalism, and Portrait Studio Management.
