Certified Manager Program – ASHEBORO CAMPUS

What  
The Certified Manager Program, sponsored locally by Randolph Community College, will continue the current series of classes on January 9. This program is offered in cooperation with the Institute of Certified Professional Managers on the campus of James Madison University.

Students completing the courses may take the certification exam or simply use the course information learned for their own personal and professional development. Information and procedures for certification application will be available at the first class meeting. The classes in the series are Foundations of Management, Planning and Organizing and Leading and Controlling. Each course is a stand-alone course may be taken in any sequence.

MANAGEMENT SKILLS II - PLANNING & ORGANIZING
This course is a comprehensive review of two of the core functions of management, planning and organizing, as well as the skills that are needed to carry them out. Content includes planning and formulating strategy, operations management, project management, planning effective meetings, decision-making, managing teams, organizing work and structure, and human resource management. ($55 + approximately $100 for textbook)

Class will start Tuesday, Jan. 9 and meet each Tuesday evening from 6-9 pm ending March 13.

Who
This course will benefit anyone who is currently in a management position and would like to improve their management skills or who may be aspiring to assume a management position and needs to learn basic management skills.
