Web Grubb of Archdale has joined Randolph Community College as director of the Small Business Center. In this position, he is responsible for organizing, implementing, and administering the Small Business Center program, which provides free seminars, small business counseling, and links to resources for local entrepreneurs. The Small Business Center is located in the Continuing Education and Industrial Center at 413 Industrial Park Avenue on the Asheboro Campus.

Grubb said his goals for RCC’s Small Business Center are “to promote positivity, collaboration, and job creation within the small business community” and to increase the visibility of the Small Business Center and its services in the community.
A native of Trinity, Grubb graduated from Trinity High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management and Marketing from Appalachian State University in 2012. He played on Appalachian’s golf team.
Grubb says he comes from a family of entrepreneurs. His grandfather worked in furniture photography, and his father has been successful in numerous businesses including convenience stores, car lots, pallet manufacturing, and printing. Grubb worked for his father for several years after his college graduation, then joined Devils Backbone Brewing of Lexington, Va. As the company’s sales representative for North Carolina for nearly two years, Grubb traveled all over the state.
Grubb said after he got married last summer, he realized how much he loved his home community and decided to seek a job where he could contribute more to the area. As the SBC director, he wants to be involved in the county Chambers of Commerce and other community organizations. He continues to be a huge supporter of Carolinas Golf Association and promoting junior golf. He lives in Archdale with his wife, Riley, who is a teacher at Trinity High School.
