ASHEBORO (March 1, 2017)
Randolph Community College is offering a new type of exercise class this spring with a unique one-session demonstration class for those who have never tried one before.
The “No Excuses Boot Camp” training will consist of calisthenics, such as pushups, lunges and crunches, as well as drills and sprints.
If you’ve never tried boot camp training, you can sign up for a demonstration class (#60914) for just the cost of insurance ($0.55). This session will meet from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, in room 103 of the Continuing Education and Industrial Center on the Asheboro Campus.
In essence, the “No Excuses Boot Camp” workout is a type of interval training — bursts of intense activity alternated with intervals of lighter activity. There is a modification for each exercise that is performed in boot camp. All limitations are taken into consideration.
The full class (#60916) will meet from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, beginning Tuesday, April 11 and ending on Friday, June 16. The cost is $50.55.
This class will meet in CEIC 107 for the first day only. Students will need a boot camp stick (which can be purchased for approximately $10 on the first day of class) and work-out cords with handles on each end (below), which students will need to purchase elsewhere.
