RCC ServSafe Class for Restaurant Workers Set for March 16

ASHEBORO (February 22, 2017)

Randolph Community College’s Workforce Development and Continuing Education Division will offer a one-day ServSafe course in March. The class will meet from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, in Room 117 of the Continuing Education and Industrial Center on the Asheboro Campus. Registration is $70, plus $89.61 for a textbook.

The ServSafe program is developed by the National Restaurant Association with the help of foodservice industry experts who face the same risks restaurant managers face every day. Years of experience and inside knowledge of the foodservice industry are at the core of the course, exams and materials.

This program blends the latest FDA Food Code, food safety research and years of food sanitation training experience. Students will learn to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food safety. Upon completion, participants will receive a nationally recognized certification by the National Restaurant Association, required by the manager on duty to earn a 100% Health Inspection Grade.
