If you have not utilized your community college for training, it is probably
time that you did. You may be spending money needlessly on higher-priced
training programs.
New & Expanding Industries
This noncredit program offers training services for new or expanding
manufacturing or service industries in North Carolina.
- A company that creates at least 12 new production jobs is eligible.
- The State of North Carolina provides all of the funding, standard
vocational and technical equipment, textbooks, workbooks and some
computer-based packages.
- Programs are developed based on the specific training needs of your
company and in cooperation with you.
- Training can be provided for virtually any job.
- The length of the training program is determined by the nature of
the job and the skills it requires.
- Instructors may come from within your company or may be provided
by RCC.
- Instructors receive specialized training at no cost to your company.
- Trainees do not have to be employed by your company at the time
of training.

work for you. We are in the business of helping businesses succeed.
Sponsored by RCC and in cooperation with the area chambers of commerce,
RCCs Small Business Center offers seminars, workshops, continuing
education courses, one-to-one consultation, referral, as well as information
and resources, such as audiotapes, videotapes and access to computer

Community Service courses consist of single courses that focus on the
personal development or leisure needs of individuals rather than occupational
or professional employment-related training.

and Personal Enrichment sections of the

Occupational Extension
This program area consists of courses that teach employment-related skills
required to obtain and upgrade full-time or part-time employment. Typical
courses are emergency medical technician, supervisory/management skills,
fire and police upgrading, general contractors licensing, real estate,
insurance, etc.
