Student Support Services
The Student Support Services Program (SSS) is federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Our main goal is student success. We provide free tutoring (This tutoring program is separate from the free online tutoring offered by Smarthinking. You may click on on the Smarthinking tab, located on the left hand tool bar, for additional information on Smarthinking); academic personal and career counseling; a computer lab; and equipment check-out (calculators, laptops and tape recorders. Please call, 633-0230, or come by the office to see if you qualify to receive these services. We are located in the Student Services Building, across from the Financial Aid Office. If you do not qualify for services through the grant, we can often make arrangements to receive tutoring or other services through other avenues at RCC.

Counseling
Counselors guide, inform, and encourage students to make effective decisions with their personal, vocational, and academic goals. If you have questions or concerns about these areas, please contact an RCC counselor by email or phone.
Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
Students with disabilities who wish to request accommodations in compliance with the Vocational Rehabilitation Act of 1974 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 must identify themselves to the admissions counselor before placement testing.
If you are a new student and would like to receive a Request for Accommodation form or would like more information, email Student Services at RCC or call (336) 633-0224. Currently enrolled students with disabilities who wish to request accommodations under ADA must contact the special needs counselor in Student Support Services in sufficient time for the College to assist if necessary.
