"In the Margins" RCC Book Club

Do you enjoy reading fiction and discussing what you’ve read with friends and fellow readers? Then, come on in and join Randolph Community College’s book club! Let’s build a community of readers! Discussions will be guided by questions that really get you thinking. You’ll learn new things about the lives of the authors. Together, we’ll explore the concept of classic and contemporary Southern literature as we focus on Southern-born storytellers or novels based in the South. 2012 authors will likely include Rick Bragg, Lee Smith, John Grisham, Sue Monk Kidd, Nicholas Sparks, James Agee, Eudora Welty, and Harper Lee. The summer session class will explore Rick Bragg: "All Over But the Shoutin," Nicholas Sparks: "The Lucky One," Sue Monk Kidd: "The Secret Life of Bees," and Harper Lee: "To Kill a Mockingbird." Bring to the first class meeting: "All Over But the Shoutin."
