Dog Care & Grooming

($65 + $1.25)
Learn the basics of proper care and grooming of dogs. Course topics will include handling/controlling dogs, coat care, parasite recognition, skin disorders, and basic grooming techniques (brushing and combing, bathing, blow drying, and nail trimming). This is a basic course and will not go in-depth into specific breed hair styles, but will cover those details needed by students to care for their own dog.

Dog Grooming: Advanced

($120 + $1.25)
This course gets in-depth into specific breeds and their proper grooming requirements. Many breeds will be covered, and any specific breeds a student has interest in can be covered. Details of bathing, brushing, combing, clipping, shaving, blow drying, and nail trimming will be demonstrated by instructor and performed by students.

Pet Care Technician Certificate

($120 + $1.25)
Prepare for an entry-level position as a professional animal care technician. Learn about small animal grooming, proper use and care of professional grooming tools, basic small animal anatomy, animal safety, handling/controlling small animals, parasite recognition, animal first aid, and skin disorders.
