MIG and TIG Welding Fundamentals

This course is designed to teach basic fundamentals of MIG and TIG welding that will qualify one for entry-level employment in welding jobs. This course will begin with an introduction to welding safety, fundamentals, and techniques. Students will be introduced to Oxy-Acetylene Welding and Torch Cutting, Arc Welding, and then progress to MIG and TIG Welding. The primary emphasis in the class will be hands-on training in MIG and TIG welding techniques allowing the student to develop basic skills in the use and application of these techniques in various welding applications. Students will be evaluated on basic welding knowledge and skill development at the conclusion of the training.

This course teaches the basic welding skills to secure employment in the welding industry. The course includes the following topics and sections: Preparing for all types of welding employment opportunities to pre-certification training, using stick, mig-tig, while learning to measure, shape and cut all types of metals to meet specifications and standards. A student will receive lecture, demonstration, field trips and practical applications and understand codes, testing standards. The student should be ready after completing this course to take the certification test preparation course to match the skills they posses with their job goals.

Welding for the Race Car Industry Stage 1

This course takes the student through the entire process of constructing the body of a race car. All aspects of metal construction to regulated industry standard of performance and safety will be taught. The students will be lead by instructors with 40 years of NASCAR construction experience. The finished product will result in a car ready to paint and power up. Stage 1 will teach the student up to assembly of component parts manufactured.
