Web Programming & Development

This program will consist of several courses that will prepare graduates to start their careers in programming.

Students will learn terminology, HTML, Java, database skills and be introduced to different packages such as Dreamweaver and Paint Shop Pro. Students will learn to develop dynamic content and cascading style sheets needed to deliver rich and interactive Web content. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a certificate.

($62 + textbook)
This course covers creating tables; primary keys, saving and selecting objects, changing table structure, managing and editing records, using the clipboard, creating and working in forms and reports, using querie, calculated fields and statistical functions, establishing relational tables, using the form wizard, filtering records, using hyperlinks, prompting for user input, and customizing reports. Upon completion, the successful student will be able to pass the Microsoft Certified Application Specialists Exam.

Advanced HTML: Cascading Style Sheets

($62 + text)
This course will cover the more advanced features of style sheets in HTML design. Some background with HTML would be a tremendous help, but is not absolutely required. We'll cover Cascading Style Sheets and how they can be used to make your Web site not only attractive but also modular. The final project will be to make a page that allows users to change the way the interface looks with the click of a button.

ASP Introduction

This course is designed for students who want to learn how to create Active Server Pages. Students will need basic programming knowledge to take this course. In this course, you will learn many of the tools available for computer graphic manipulation, particularly those in the Paint Shop Pro series.
