Career Readiness Certificate

What is it?

The Career Readiness Certification (CRC) is a portable credential. The training and assessment of abilities are based on reading for information, locating information in charts and graphs, and applied math. There are three levels of certification: Bronze level, Silver level and Gold level.

Why get it?

This credential enables workers to show their current skill levels to potential employers and increase their opportunities for employment.  Local employers have stated they prefer to hire employees who have these skills.  
The CRC is based upon WorkKeys, a nationally recognized, skills assessment tool developed by ACT Inc.  The Career Readiness Certificate is transferable to other states, as this is a national initiative to strengthen the workforce in America.
