Career Readiness Certification

What is it?
A portable record of work skills. The training and assessment of abilities are based on reading, locating information in charts and graphs, and math. There are three levels of certification.

Why get it?
This record enables workers to show their current skill levels to potential employers and increase their opportunities for employment. Local employers have stated they prefer to hire employees who have these skills.

Career Readiness

Career Readiness classes are those that prepare individuals for entry or reentry into the workforce.

Courses are available to help individuals explore their career options, receive career planning and educational counseling, as well as build job search strategies and interviewing techniques.

This program also offers introductory computer skills classes where students learn to utilize the computer to gain employment information.
